Sneaky Shot in St. Paul’s

St. Paul's Interior

I acted on a rare opportunity this afternoon to get a shot of the inside of St. Paul’s. There’s normally no photography allowed inside the building. However, today with all the people pouring in after the Lord Mayor’s show snapping away with their flashes on, I figured I’d sneak a shot. No flash though, of course.

  1. Gorgeous shot, and no flash no harm no foul on a crazy day like today, I say. How were the pomp & pagentry compared to previous years?

    1. Tanks boss. Usually having a sit down in St. Paul’s is a very relaxing affair but I was starting to rage just a lil bit with all the flashy flashy. Nevertheless, I’m quite happy with my shot :).

I was a bit further away from the actual parade this year as I wanted to be up close to the business end by Mansion House. One thing I will say is that it felt there was more military ‘filler’ this year and by that I mean non-ceremonial dressed soldiers. Other than that the usual amount of pageantry one has come to expect. Plus two bands playing the Grenadier March ^_^.

I also made my way down the Embankment later in perfect timing to see the coaches making their return journey from the Royal Courts of (great) Justice. Got a vidya going up on the YouTubes as I type.
